Tami is a qualified lawyer who has enjoyed a varied career spanning over two decades starting off in private practice (magic circle firm in London and overseas) before working as a corporate counsel for a multi-national corporation and then as a senior lecturer at law schools in the UK and Tokyo and subsequently delivering development programmes for international lawyers and business executives, while developing her career consulting and executive coaching practice.
Tami brings excellent cross-cultural communication skills to her coaching with clients commenting on her empathetic, positive, inclusive and honest style. Tami is passionate about bringing the best out of each individual and helping them find their own unique path to success. There is always a sense of challenge combined with playful experimentation and fun when working with Tami.
Tami’s focuses her coaching on individuals who are keen to develop their authentic leadership skills and develop their senior level careers, particularly those striving to break through racial and gender career ceilings, or seeking to find a balance in their lives. Tami works with teams responsible for diversity and inclusivity within their organisations aiming to implement positive, sustainable changes.
Tami’s international perspective has been developed while living, working and raising her family in London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. Tami was born in Japan and educated in England from secondary school (with educational and cultural exposure in France and Germany). She studied Chinese Studies and Management before moving on to law.
